Le kmod-spca5xx a été mis à jour. Il s'agit d'une nouvelle mouture. Il a d'ailleurs changé de nom : gpspca (Generic Software Package for Camera Adaptator). Vous pouvez le tester pour le noyau 2.6.17-1.2187_FC5.

Il faut paramétrer le dépôt drpixel-testing :
rpm -ivh http://drpixel.tuxfamily.org/fedora/drpixel-release-1-1.noarch.rpm

Ensuite, si aucun kmod-spca5xx n'était installé :
yum install kmod-gspca --enablerepo=drpixel-testing

Si le dépôt drpixel était utilisé pour les kmod :
yum update --enablerepo=drpixel-testing

Pour rappel, le module permet de faire fonctionner de nombreuses webcams notemment certains modèles de creative, logitech (liste des webcams supportées disponible ici )
Après quelques tests, il passera dans le dépôt drpixel.

The kernel module spca5xx has been updated. It's a new release. The name is not spca5xx anymore but gspca (which stand for Generic Software Package for Camera Adaptator).
You can test it for the kernel 2.6.17-1.2187_FC5.

You only have to install the drpixel-testing repository.
rpm -ivh http://drpixel.tuxfamily.org/fedora/drpixel-release-1-1.noarch.rpm

If no kmod-spca5xx package was installed, just yum the kmod-gspca :
yum install kmod-gspca --enablerepo=drpixel-testing

If the drpixel repository was used to obtain the kmod-spca5xx:
yum update --enablerepo=drpixel-testing

The kmod-gpsca is able to manage a lot of webcam from many manufacturer such as creative, logitech (the full list of supported webcam can be obtained here). After further testing, this kmod will be in the drpixel repository (replacing the "old" kmod-spca5xx).
